For twenty years, I have been chasing the light up here in the north. It has been a magical journey that everyday inspires me to explore more and more of the beautiful nature that we have here. From tiny macro subjects to grandiose landscape. Birds, animals and macro, all captured in the chase after magical moments and light that makes me go on further and further.
Switching from DSLR to Olympus was an eye-opener for me. I never thought that a camera could make such a difference. However, Pro Capture, Live Composite and all the other features of Olympus really make me enjoy nature photography even more.
My passion is wildlife, and I am so satisfied to work with my Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm F2.8 PRO and the 300mm F4 IS PRO on birds and animals. Especially the size and weight appeals to me. For landscape the M.Zuiko Digital ED 7-14mm F2.8 PRO is the lens I use most together with the small and lightweight Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark III. The ability to take handheld 50 MP files is so satisfying when I work on landscapes. I know that the gear I am using can make huge files, if I want. In addition, the sweet and tiny M.Zuiko Digital ED 60mm F2.8 Macro is always with me, sometimes I just put in a pocket.
Even though that Olympus has so many good lenses to choose from, I often find myself wondering around with just my 12-100mm F4 IS PRO. This is just the perfect lens for a lot of scenery. And it’s a freedom in some situations to just pick up one lens, enjoy the simplicity of being out there in the nature and just take in the beauty and tranquility.
