I wished to test the OM-D E-M1 Mark II in Tibetan ground, my source of inspiration where I began my photographer’s professional life about forty years ago. Equipped with the E-M1 Mark II I went into the Tibetan regions of Qinhaï in China to browse the green high mountain pastures, from passes to passes at 5000 metres under a turquoise blue sky punctuated with clouds in flakes, colourful flags floating in the wind that deliver prayers of relief.
Thanks to the new OM-D and to its range of compact objectives, I savoured the pleasure to cavort light from one mountain to the next with a bag over the shoulder weighing less than three kilos. What pure happiness!
The E-M1 Mark II completely allowed me to overtake my usual photographic approach by inciting me to innovate, thanks to its multiple Art Filters, and on the ground I was able to develop an even more creative look.
It seems to me already difficult to imagine a more complete camera. In my opinion, the E-M1 Mark II and its lenses open the doors of the future, a new era of photography, for the demanding professionals. It combines the best of the E-M5 Mark II and the E-M1 and this incredible camera could be described in two words: Creativity and freedom.
