GLOBAL PRO GALLERY
We took a canoe down the black waters and through the flooded forest of the Ecuadorian amazon. It was very dark and I was slightly concerned about capturing sharp images. Our guide had spotted this Caiman Crocodile submerged in the waters, I was blown away and incredibly honoured to have been so close to such an amazing animal. I attached my Olympus ED 40-150 F2.8 Pro lens and 1.4 Teleconverter, giving me an effective focal length of 420mm. Using the flip out screen I was able to compose at water level to create an intimate view and isolate theeye. The powerful 5 axis image stabiliser allowed me to shoot handheld, at an incredible 1/25 shutter speed. The auto focus on my E-M1 Mark III locked on to the eye effortlessly in super low light conditions.
