Composite combines a sequence of images captured at the same shutter speed to record light trails.
Unlike a conventional long exposure, which continues to expose the entire image, only areas that become brighter are added to the composite. Moving lights form flowing lines, while stars trace their apparent motion across the sky.

Compared with conventional long exposures such as Bulb shooting, Live Composite can produce images with lower noise.
A noise-reduction frame is captured at the start of shooting, and noise reduction is applied when the exposure is completed.

Live Composite lets you shoot long exposures in relatively bright conditions without blowing out the highlights. Add an ND filter and you can explore entirely new long-exposure effects even in daylight.

By using the way moving light is recorded as lines, you can move a penlight or other light source to draw in space and create deliberate visual effects.
Because you can monitor the progress in the viewfinder, you can control the final result as you shoot.
